THE PIXEL-PERFECT GOLDFISH Tips are available in the game itself. If you hover over something on the screen with your cursor, the Pixel-Perfect Goldfish in the bottom left-hand corner will tell you about it with a text bubble. When in doubt, listen to the Goldfish! 1. DISKS Operate the Section B-2 Temple by dragging Dogmatic Disks into the FRONTEND, BACKEND, or HARDWARE. Then press the 'Submit' button to run the disks. Each Dogmatic Disk is color-coded to match different areas in the temple, where the disks are designed to run most efficiently. If you put a Dogmatic Disk into an area that does NOT match the disk's colors, you can still press 'Submit' to run it. However, this will register as a SYSTEMATIC SIN. Sometimes this might be necessary to advance the game, but it's probably best not to make it a habit! Every turn, the temple will dispense five Dogmatic Disks. Once you run three disks, you will be able to click the 'Dispense Disks' button to receive five new Dogmatic Disks. 2. CLERGY The Abbess AM3L1A Mach-3 Model and NaNette the NanoNun® are the temple's clergy. In order to install them, you'll need to run the Dogmatic Disks labeled 'Replacement' and 'Assistance', which the temple will eventually dispense. Once the clergy are installed, you can drag and drop their icons onto Dogmatic Disks placed inside the temple. When a clergy member is operating a Dogmatic Disk, the disk will produce different outcomes. In order to drag a clergy member onto a Dogmatic Disk, the disk must have a bracketed slot to accept the clergy. If a Dogmatic Disk does NOT have a bracketed slot, it will NOT accept clergy members. If a Dogmatic Disk has TWO bracketed slots, it will REQUIRE -both- clergy members. Most Dogmatic Disks have one bracketed slot, and will accept either the Abbess AM3L1A or NaNette the NanoNun®. However, there are some special Dogmatic Disks that will only accept AM3L1A or only accept NaNette. The Pixel-Perfect Goldfish will indicate when AM3L1A or NaNette are required for specific disks. 3. DATA Managing the Section B-2 Temple means managing its data. Resources are required to progress through the game, and certain resources require other resources to produce. The Abbess AM3L1A Mach-3 Model increases PIETY. NaNette the NanoNun® increases POWER. PIETY and POWER can be invested to produce BOTS in the FRONTEND, BYTES in the BACKEND, or BOLTS in the HARDWARE. The Dogmatic Disks labeled 'Piety' and 'Power' are what will allow you to invest these resources. 'Piety' is a special Dogmatic Disk that requires the Abbess AM3L1A to run properly. Likewise, 'Power' requires NaNette the NanoNun®. Some Dogmatic Disks will allow you to exchange BOTS for BOLTS, BOLTS for BYTES, or BYTES for BOTS. These exchanges will grant you higher yields than simply investing PIETY and POWER would normally produce. 4. BRINE Dogmatic Disks will increase BRINE when you run them without clergy members. When you have too much BRINE, the temple will, in turn, dispense increasingly more 'Brine' disks, which will reduce your BOTS, BYTES, and BOLTS. Some Dogmatic Disks, such as 'Evangelic' and 'Economic', can reduce BRINE with the clergy's help. 5. RITUALS You can perform rituals in the FRONTEND, BACKEND, or HARDWARE. 10 BOTS will allow you to perform the 'Sermon' ritual in the FRONTEND. 10 BYTES will allow you to perform the 'Sigil' ritual in the BACKEND. 10 BOLTS will allow you to perform the 'Shrine' ritual in the HARDWARE. You do not need to acquire all these resources at the same time. 10 BOTS are enough, for example, to perform a ritual in the FRONTEND, even if you have 0 BYTES and 0 BOLTS. In order to win the game, you'll need to perform three rituals. You can perform them in many different combinations, depending upon which Dogmatic Disks the temple dispenses, and which resources you increase during play.
