Thank you for playing Turbo Chest Hair Massacre! This file is meant to help if you get stuck. It is organized into four sections, based on ascending magnitude of spoilers: tips, hints, major hints, and solutions. Also note that there is an in-game hint system. You can type TIP to receive a general tip, HINT to receive a context-sensitive hint, or HELP for some basic instructions. ---TIPS (extremely minor or no spoilers)--- If you don't know what commands to use, the most common ones are LOOK, EXAMINE (abbreviated X), TAKE, N/S/E/W/UP/DOWN etc., ASK, TELL, USE, and INVENTORY (abbreviated I). You can also access this list in-game by typing ABOUT. It's a good idea to examine many different things. You might start to get ideas. Once you meet your housemate, you can ask or tell her about certain things (ASK/TELL MARIGOLD ABOUT something). Remember that Theophila's primary goal is to get rid of her chest hair, by any means necessary. Not everything you find will be useful, but many things will be. Some things may be useful more than once. ---HINTS (minor spoilers)--- Have you tried using the prototype? You did take it, right? There are red herrings, but I assure you, it is possible for Theophila to remove her chest hair. Theophila and Marigold have different ways of looking at the world. Examining things with Theophila will usually give the most detailed and holistic perspective. Marigold, on the other hand, has a tendency to ignore things she doesn't perceive as important. Sometimes this can be to your benefit. If you ever face a tough opponent, try to turn its strength against it. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you don't know your goal or are seemingly unable to proceed... just give it a few turns. Want to play dress-up with Theophila? Examine the different collections in her closet! ---MAJOR HINTS (significant spoilers)--- It should be impossible to put the game in an unwinnable state. There are many different ways Theophila can attempt to deal with her chest hair. Most of them involve using something on her chest hair (USE something ON CHEST HAIR). Sometimes, the thing you need to use is just lying around, ready to go. Other times, it must be constructed or otherwise manipulated first. In order to try removing that chest hair, you'll need to: Be sharp. Stick to it. Suck it up. Wax poetic. Be fantastic. Victory, ultimately, will go to the fairest. There is something very interesting in Marigold's room, and she's the only one who notices it at first. "Properly dressed" is in the eye of the beholder. Marigold is a gynoid of culture. ---SOLUTIONS (major spoilers)--- There are 6 different ways that Theophila can attempt to deal with her chest hair. Only one of them succeeds. Alternatively, if you do all 5 of the ineffective ones, she'll give up and decide to go on her date with her chest hair intact. Either way works. METHOD 1: Theophila can attempt to cut her chest hair. For this, she will need a sharp object. There are a few suitable objects in the game. They can be found in the kitchen and in Theophila's room. You're looking for a knife. They're in the kitchen drawers and Theophila's dresser drawer. This is a bad idea, don't try it at home. METHOD 2: There's something in the storage room that can be used on Theophila's chest hair. It's the duct tape. This is a bad idea, don't try it at home. METHOD 3: MacGyver the vacuum that you find in the upstairs hallway. In order to do the MacGyvering, you need 3 key items in your inventory. They are the vacuum, the duct tape, and the funnel. The funnel is in the terraium; only Marigold can get it. She'll have to give it to Theophila, or just drop it somewhere for Theophila to pick up later. Once you have all 3 items in your inventory, use the duct tape on one of them, then use the modified vacuum on Theophila's chest hair. This is a bad idea, don't try it at home. METHOD 4: The sketchy wax job. Get the candle from the dining room table, and get any cookware (saucepan, pan, pot, or skillet) from the kitchen cabinet. Put the candle in the saucepan (or whatever), put the saucepan on the stove, and turn on the stove dial. This is a bad idea, don't try it at home. Even if you succeeded at melting candlewax, it would be useless for hair removal. METHOD 5: I'm a fan of this method. Attempt to use the fan in Theophila's bedroom. You'll need to unscrew the grill first. To do that, get the screwdriver from Theophila's dresser drawers, and use it on the fan. Get the shaving cream from the shower rack in the bathroom and use it. Finally, use the fan on Theophila's chest hair. This is a bad idea, don't try it at home. METHOD 6: This method requires teamwork and communication! It's the one that succeeds. Use the prototype to become Marigold. As Marigold, examine the terrarium in your room. Take the funnel. Ask Theophila about a new toy for Gustav. Become Theophila again by using the prototype. Get the hairbrush from Theophila's dresser drawer and give it to Gustav. Finally, take Gustav. By either completing methods 1-5, or completing method 6 (or completing all 6 if you want to), Theophila will be ready for her date. Just go east from the entryway. You can wear (or not wear) whatever you want. After Theophila leaves for her date, there's one more puzzle that needs to be solved. It may not be immediately apparent, but it will show up after a few turns. All you'll need is to throw the right item at your opponent. The item you're looking for can be found in the kitchen. It's... ...are you ready for this?... ...the pint of yogurt in the fridge. Once you do that, sit back and enjoy the ride. Theophila will come home after a few turns for the final cutscene.
