Now that everyone in the cell has cycled through the training camp at Location Tau, we've been able to collate some statistics on your performance. Not much better than we'd expect from civilians, to be brutally honest.

A partisan with basic training and a standard-issue gyro gun can expect the following distribution of outcomes:

Attack

1 in 6 chance of missing. The stabilisers which give the gyro gun its name will typically ensure this is a near miss, which may still give you a brief opening.

4 in 6 chance of a standard hit. If your target has any kind of cybernetic enhancement, it will typically take two such hits to eliminate.
1 in 6 chance of a critical hit. This will eliminate any target instantly.
The probability of missing can be reduced to zero by using laser targeting equipment.

The probability of a critical hit can be increased to 2 in 6 by making split-second adjustments to your trigger pull. Consumer timing servos can assist with performing this correctly.

Defence

A partisan with basic training has a 1 in 6 chance of dodging almost any attack.

Wearing clothes that are comfortable to move in has been shown to increase this probability to as much as 3 in 6, or 50%.

Hi,

Thanks so much for that worthwhile use of paper and ink.

I liked the parts where you emphasise the importance of "laser targeting equipment", "timing servos" and "comfortable clothes" - none of which are standard-issue.

But best of all is the way you've calculated statistics for our performance against hypothetical human or enhanced-human combatants, completely ignoring our 100% fatality rate when fighting Royal Guardians - you know, the forces that are actually deployed against us in the real world?

Unless there's something you know that you're not telling us?
