Outside:
- Select an item in the Front Yard to choose which friend you want with you during the game. You will need a friend to complete the game as any object large enough to get you to the Attic is too heavy to carry on your own.
- Go to the back yard, and look at the rocks and trash.
- Pick up the unusual rock, and the key you find underneath it.
- Unlock the front door with the key.

In the house:
- Go to the Rec Room in the basement, and push the knitting chest through the rooms up to the Storage Room on the second floor.
- Go to back to the Kitchen, and take one of the kitchen chairs there.
- Go to the bathroom on the second floor, open the medicine cabinet and take the pullchain inside.
- Go into the Storage Room, and turn on your phone.
- Place the kitchen chair on the knitting chest.
- Attach the pullchain to the trapdoor and enter the Attic.
- Open the window in the Attic. If LiYuan is your friend here, she will find and hand you a brass key.
- If LiYuan is not present, look in the full-length mirror. You will see something shiny reflected in the mirror. Look at the post, and take the brass key hanging on a hook. Be sure to take the flashlight from the bookshelf before you leave.
- Leave the Attic and go into the Master Bedroom.
- Search the dresser until you find a silver key, which will automatically be taken.
- Go back to the Rec Room and move the couch to reveal an oak panel. Unlock the oak panel with the brass key. Open the oak panel to reveal a crawlspace.
- Turn on the flashlight, and head into the crawlspace.
- Go into the final room, and unlock the small box with the silver key. Open the box to end the game.
